Bill & Ginger is for women who know what suits them and would rather not spend a Saturday finding it. We buy for spring and summer in Australia and New Zealand — which means light fabrics, shapes that let the air through, and colours that hold up in hard southern light.

Our story

Most of what gets sold to women our age was designed for somebody else and sized down as an afterthought. Sleeves too short. Fabric that clings on the one day you need it not to. A cut that assumes you have nowhere to be after four o'clock.

So we buy differently. Every season starts with the same two questions: will this be comfortable on a hot day, and will she still like it next summer? If the answer to either is no, it does not go on the site.

We are a small team and we read our own emails. If something arrives and it is not right, tell us and we will sort it out.
